18/05/2020 3rd Class Mary Lucey

Well hello again….. I’m back! I do hope you and your families are happy and healthy. We are all in this together and trying to make the best of circumstances. I am sending suggestions for work for the next couple of weeks.

Gaeilge: Keep logging on to edco.ie/bua
Watch TG4 programmes e.g. Cula 4
Sing some of our Irish Songs

Maths: Continue Multiplication and Division Tables (9 & 10)
Access Maths games/puzzles online.
Daily columns of Mental Maths (Two Weeks)
Revise Length (e.g. counting steps – how long/far can I go within a 5km radius).

English: Daily columns in English in Practice.
Jolly Grammar: Next two units (include some spellings)
Just Handwriting (continue one page per day)
Reading Zone: Choose two new stories, one per week. Activities can be done orally.

S.E.S.E: Choose one unit from Small World History: Activities A to C may be done orally with an adult.

Other Possible Activities:
Write the Hail Mary prayer on card. Decorate it and display. Recite daily.
Watch RTE School Home Hub.
Start a mini project: Choose a person e.g. singer, sportsperson, actor or anyone who inspires you. Or choose a country/topic that interests you. Gather data – include a combination of printed, handwritten, photos, artwork etc. Compile your own personal project.
Walk, cycle, run….. include daily exercise.
Keep on reading daily if possible. Don’t forget library online.

Mind yourselves and each other and hopefully we will all meet soon.

Slán,
Mrs. Lucey
